A Thought

14 Jul 2010

You see, I just realized that whenever I post something on my blog, I should really look at it as an opportunity to practice my writing. But I feel like it’s not worth it. I mean, it probably is, but what’s the point of trying to make everything sound like poetry? Style needs to develop naturally too, I think, so I don’t really need to make every single post sound like inane ramblings with five adjectives inserted in one sentence each. Hah. I did that, actually, and kure said that it was too much. *sigh* Well, it was fun, I must say.

Oh, and one of my favorite singers would have to be Ă“rla Fallon. Of Celtic Woman fame, although I don’t really care about CW. I love her voice. If I could sing, I think I’d want to be like her. My roommate values being able to belt every single song and to be heard over every other singer, but that’s really not the only type of singing there is out there. I love the beautiful voices that can sing without feeling as if they have to gasp in lungfuls of air, and then sound like they’re shouting it all in order to make every single note they’re trying to hit. I mean, really. That’s nice most of the time, I guess, but there are other ways to singing, and it doesn’t always have to be so slap in your face loud.
