I just finished From Far Away! T-T I wish there were extra stuff. I mean, I absolutely loved Kanata Kara (the original Japanese title, easier and shorter to type than From Far Away `-`) and I wish there were more extras. :D I mean, some mangaka get like… whole books of follow-ups! ;o Not fair!
Anyways, I began reading this series back when it was first published in the United States. At that time, I decided to forgo the purchase of this series because there were already so many other series that I was collecting. I mean, hey! I was a teenager. I didn’t even have a job until the last two years of my high school. And even then, work was tough. My family has never had a lot of money, so before then I just saved whatever little money I had and wasted them all on books. Believe me, my whole family is frustrated with the millions of books lying around. :D I seem to have them everywhere. Heck, I couldn’t even control myself when I went to college, and I don’t even have a job now! That’s worse off than when I was in high school! But college is more fun than high school, so don’t think that I’m saying that college is worse off! So, uhh… I stopped reading around volume 10, I think. And when I came back, the whole series was finished, yay. :D I did read it a long time ago, so I was happy to reread it. *^.^*
Umm, umm… I was supposed to talk about Kanata Kara… :D Well, for one, I love it because Izark and Noriko are so lovey dovey. And, it’s such a positive story! Noriko was always so spunky and positive, it’s hard not to love those two. And the side characters were great. They were there throughout the whole story, and even if you met them later in the volumes, like say, ohhhhh… volume 10? you still got to know enough of them that you can’t help but like them. :D Heck, you can even somewhat sympathize with the evil dude.
In all, I love From Far Away and I am sad to see it end with so little follow ups. I also say that I love Kyoko Hikawa. Read Otogi Moyou Ayanishiki, which is being scanlated by the awesome team at Ivyscan. I’ve never told kure this, but because Ivyscan has done some of my favorite stuff from the beginning of my manga interest-ish, I’ve always known Ivyscan’s website. *^.^* I mean, it’s http://ivyscan.kakyoku.org! Simple, right? :D
…even Otogi got a futatabi. *sighs*
(according to kure, futatabi means “again” :D?)
Why didn’t Kanata Kara? D:
*rolls on kure* *flops on shu*
Well… I just felt like today I should post something. I think I had something in mind earlier, but I don’t know what it is anymore… Hah. I guess I’ll just show a picture or something then.
Here’s one of… a giant cone. :D

There were these trees in the botanical garden that was on my way to class. Just as you entered or exited the garden path, there were these warning signs that read, “Caution: 10-15 pound cones falling” or something like that. I thought that they were just like regular cones until I saw two or so of them on the ground as I was walking to class. They were unbelievably huge! O_O Like, the size of my shoe size! D: I think I was wearing size 7 in women’s, but I have a 6.5 shoe size, I think… Heh. I don’t even remember anymore. *shrugs* Unfortunately, the one that I’m showing had already lost half of itself. I guess someone kicked it or messed with it or it just crashed too hard into the ground… :D?
Anyways, I can see how they can kill someone. I mean, look at the size of that thing! And they’re still green! Meaning that they’re still full of juice! D: Beware of those cones! Danger! (I need to find out which trees they came from. :D)
Yay. :D
GOING HOME TOMORRRRROW!
Haven’t been home in almost 8 months!!
Wheeee. WHEEEE.
shu also squeals over fungi.
*stretches shu’s cheeks*
And, and, I just wanted to post. >w<
That was all~~ :D
…again. Ugh. I don’t want to clean up~ How did I accumulate so many books?! T-T
